Integration of high-resolution cyclo-, bio-, chronostratigraphic data and spectral analysis results.
High-resolution architectural model for the whole carbonate platform interior based on physically traced sediment surfaces separating 619-701 shallowing upward microcycles.
Basic accommodation cycles (shallowing-upward cycles with subaerial exposure at the top) in the Latemar represent sub-Milankovitch cyclicity with average periods of 4.2 ky (max. 5.85 ky)
Orbital forcing in the Milankovitch bandwidth is present in the large-scale cycle bundlings: short and long precession and obliquity, short eccentriccity
Carbonate accummulation rates of the middle Triassic Latemar platform approached the production potential of moderately prolific (sub-)recent platforms.
In general, forcing models require an integrated approach including spatial cyclostratigraphic, bio- and chronostratigraphic data, i.e. a model-independant time calibration which is not primarily based on spectral analysis.
